Discorver a luxury country resort in Tuscany: Borgo Casabianca farmhouse
Casabianca is a farm situated in Tuscany high on the ridge that separates the Chiana valley,
so vividly celebrated by Dante, and the famous "Crete Senesi", represented by
A. Lorenzetti in the town hall of Siena. The country resort is located in an area that
is rich both in history and various landscapes.
From the resort there are a series of views over Tuscany's country, towards the hills
of Montalcino and Monte Cetona, towards the "Crete", towards Monte Amiata and
Siena.
The site is mentioned by Repetti in his early 19th century dictionary and is
also attested by Pieri in his "Toponomastica" of Southern Tuscany.
In ancient times a substantial community joined there and at disposal there were
a chapel, some shops and even an elementary school.
Within easy driving distance from Borgo Casabianca country resort there are many places to visit: Asciano and its
monuments and buildings, Rapolano and its old travertine quarries; Castelmuzio
with the marvellous Romanesque parish church of Santo Stefano; the monastery
of S. Anna in Camprena and the fabulous frescoes by Sodoma and not too far the
abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino and many others.
Casabianca has been carefully restored and it has got back its ancient splendour
with its typical rural buildings, its elegant manor, streets, gardens and its
cultivation of olive trees "Olio D.O.P. Terre di Siena", which were the original
resources of the ancient farm and at present produce an excellent extra-virgin
olive oil - precious taste of the lands of Tuscany.
From the complex construction it has been possible to get perfect rooms to arrange
meetings, congress or convivial nights or simply to relax in a peaceful atmosphere
with agreeable reading. Outside the villa it is possible to enjoy the swimming
pool, the external hydromassage bath tub, or at the bar to taste some snacks surrounded
by an amazing landscape. The woods offer perfect occasions for trekking and horse
riding in the Tuscan countryside.
